A typical 7' width is 79" inside width minus 16" (2-8" ski guides) = 63-64" in the middle. Sheet 96" x 4ft - 64 = 32. The first 4 feet of the "middle" trailer is a 64" piece, the next 4 feet are 32+32, the next are 64" and so on for trailer length maximizing full sheet utilization. 24" strips on both ramps and a few strips of whatever (rubber, wood, hyfax) on each side for traction when loading. Plastic mesh is less than half the cost of plastic sheets (also have it used), half the weight, the same 1/4" thickness and hardly traps any moisture as whole sheets will (even if you caulk the seams they are messy and don't seem to hold up) . Doesn't hurt to put an SS washer between the mat and the ground when securing for even better evaporation and even less risk of moisture trapping. So if you are painting or Line-Xing the floor you should not undercoat the trailer as this could trap moisture and rot the plywood??? Is it a good idea to paint the new floors (plywood) that are resistant to humidity?? And what kind of preparation is needed to paint this kind of floors??Enclosed Trailer Flooring
It held up very well, but I noticed that the adhesive I originally used was not holding the floor together in some places. I'm in the process of ditching the D-rings that came with the trailer and installing a new ETrack, but before I dive into that I wanted to make sure the flooring is sticking to the plywood flooring.
